The short film STRAIN takes an honest look at how small actions and thoughts can spiral out of hand by exploring the themes of bullying, loyalty, betrayal and friendship.

Rather than lecturing teens/adults about bullying, our goal is to subtly push the anti-bullying message through a means of entertainment. Let's be honest, when teachers lectured us about consequences in health class most of us would let it go in one ear and right out the other. But when it came down to the "cool" people from TV/movies having something to say, we were all ears. The same type of attention span we gave celebrities were also given to "cool" mediums of entertainment.

We want to take that same concept of what kids find "cool" and apply it to our anti-bullying project. We cast actors who teens would recognize as our lead characters. They will help breathe life into a script that was written inspired by actual events in a high school.

The narrative takes an honest look at how small actions and thoughts can spiral out of hand showing us how easy it is to slip down a path of betrayal and bullying – and the consequences we must live with when we do.

We are seeking Non-Union background actors (or non-actors), over the age of 18 who can portray High School students to assist us on one or both shoot dates on June 6th (Wednesday) and 7th (Thursday), 2012. Must have full day availability.

The scene will be filmed in an actual High School in Orange County - we need to fill the school/classroom with students!!

No-Paid, but the production will provide credit, meal, and copy of the film (after post production). It will also be a fun networking event, as there will be a Hawaiian-theme Spring Formal scene, where everyone get to be creative and bring their "evening wear" costume to set. The production would also like to ask the talents to prepare 4 different High School casual looks, as we will be filming multiple scenes of "different days" in the film.

If you are interested in volunteering for the Strain Project, please email your photo and contact information (if you are an actor, Headshot/Resume) to: "strain.casting@gmail.com" please also indicate which dates (June 6th and 7th) you are available.

Our goal is to bring this film to audiences with the intent of sparking thoughtful conversations among each other and also trigger audiences to think twice about actions that could lead to bullying.

For more information regarding the film, please visit: http://www.lelimeloproductions.com/antibullyingproject

Thank you very much!!
