They were featured in the Internet video series, The Making of Seriously, which was a 10 episode insight into their development leading up to the release of their self-titled EP. Find out how they got started, what their journey has been like so far, and what is in store for them in the near future.

What are your ethnicities?
Nathan: 3 Koreans and a Viet
You all started playing together at a local church. Did any of you know each other before then? How did the band form at the church? Did you just say "hey, let's start a band?"
Philip: I met Chris Pham when I started to attend Inland Church the summer after high school. My friends already knew him so I got introduced to him. I also met Josh when I first attended Inland Church. I first met Nathan Park when I took summer classes at Fullerton college in my Junior Year of high school. Alex (Seriously's former guitarist) introduced me to him. This band was formed for the sole purpose of playing at Kollaboration. Alex pretty much called us up to ask if we wanted to play and that's how it all started, when we won the grand prize at Kollaboration.
In 2006 you guys won the Kollaboration grand prize and that opened the door for Woody Pak and Gloria Lee to sign you to Chaos Theory Music. What has the journey so far been like with making the EP and also having the journey broadcast on the Internet?
Josh: It's been surreal. The whole thing happened so fast and one thing just led to the next. Before we knew it, we were good friends with Woody and Gloria and doing things that i didn't even think i would ever be able to do. The EP was a lot of work and a lot of fun. I still cant believe we got those songs out so fast. The internet play isn't so mind blowing, seeing as how everyone is on the internet these days with a video of their own. But it's been fun nonetheless.
Chris: It's been quite a journey and an adventure, especially being a first year in college, everything is already new as it is. It's been difficult too in some ways, but it increasingly becomes more a part of who you are. The whole deal with the broadcast on the Internet I believe is completely flattering. My mom says "OHhhhh, you're on YouTube!" I just stifle a laugh and tell her, "Mom... EVERYONE is on YouTube."
Philip: This journey has been a very humbling experience for me. Who would have thought that four regular guys like us would have such an opportunity. It was clearly obvious that God was the cause of all this and not us.
Seriously music is said to be a mixture of K-Pop with Brit-Pop and American Rock. That's quite a mouthful. How would you all describe your music in 3 words or less?
Philip: Rock, pop, and blues...
Chris: Just like us.
Josh: Bittersweet hopeful.
Nathan: From the heart.
With 4 guys in a band, there is certainly different personalities. How would you classify each other in terms of personalities? Is there a shy one, an outgoing one, one who keeps the others in check?
Chris: Phil is the shy one, I wish I was the shy one. Every now and then I say some pretty silly things, so that makes me the outgoing one? I believe we all take the role of keeping each other in check...
Nathan: Josh keeps things real and in check--he has the most wisdom and gray hairs...just kidding about the gray hairs! Philip is definitely the shy one-- soft spoken, good-hearted, quick to listen and slow to anger. Chris is outgoing and unafraid to try new things in life. He keeps things fresh, craves adventure, and most definitely loves girls. Yeah, he's pretty much girl crazy. "Wassup baby?!"
Philip: Yea, I think Chris is the really outgoing one, Josh is the one who keeps others in check and he is really responsible, and Nathan, our new guitarist, is really chill and down to earth.
Josh: Philip is quiet and easy going. Chris is wild. Nathan is CHAIL.
The Seriously EP is now available. Has the EP been well received?
Philip: We've been getting positive responses for our CD, so I believe the EP has been well received. Surprisingly, a lot of people are interested in our songs, even people we have never met or seen.
Josh: I think so. I have confirmed at least one sale with a friend of mine, haha.
Where does Seriously go after this since Alex has left the group? Will we be hearing more from the band or is this the end of this chapter of the journey? And any hints as to who the mysterious new fourth member will be?
Josh: I hope its not the end, its really up to the audience. But we are all on board 100%. We found our new guitarist in the Sacred Kensei Forest..he has no name.
Chris: Hopefully, we'll perform at the Grammies one day. :) There is definitely more to hear from this band. And as for hints, well, our new guitarist was also in Kollaboration.
Philip: We will still continue with the band Seriously. Our new electric guitarist has been revealed on MySpace and he is also a very good friend of ours.
Nathan: With or without Alex, Seriously will be moving on to bigger and better things. The end of this chapter is just the beginning of another journey...you'll be hearing more from us. And as for the mysterious fourth member-- that guy is one hot green ninja. haha j/k.
What would any of you have done differently over the last 6 months since "The Making of Seriously" started airing on the Internet?
Chris: Yes, I would've cut my hair. But other than that, no.
Philip: Practice practice practice more!!!
Josh: Nothing. Everything was real, even the boring parts and I like it.
Summer tour for the group? If so, any dates announced where fans can catch you?
Nathan: Yeah...you can catch us in England, Japan, Australia, Iceland, Korea, the Bahamas...you name it and we're there. Now only if we could make these dreams a reality...(talk to our manager) :]
Chris: We have some gigs in the summer, but you'd have to stay posted on our MySpace (www.myspace.com/seriouslytheband) or our label's site, www.chaostheorymusic.net.
