Do you speak any languages? Do you know any pidgin? Can you share with us a phrase that you commonly say in pidgin?
Unfortunately, I don't speak any other languages, although I am planning to learn to speak some Filipino. Pidgin is the unofficial language of Hawaii. It was created back in the plantation days when plantation workers would mix words together to better understand one another. A common phrase used is "Hey brah, wea you stay" (Where are you) "Get choke people at the party" (There are a lot of people at the party).

How do you keep yourself grounded with all this attention coming your way?
It is really important for me to surround myself with positive energy and positive people. My friends, family, management and fans really keep me grounded. I believe it is really important to be grateful for what you have and not take anything or anyone for granted. After all, you are only as good as your last performance.

JordanAre you currently working on any projects?
I just completed recording my debut album entitled "Jordan" which was released a few months ago. It has been a dream come true for me and I am so thankful for the tremendous support that I have received. (People can order the CD online at www.brownjungle.com)

In one sentence, please describe who is Jordan Segundo.
I am a determined, compassionate and easy-going person.

How has "American Idol shaped you as a singer/performer?
"American Idol" has given me the confidence and the drive to pursue my dream as a performer. It has made me realize that with hard work and determination, anything is possible.

What is more fulfilling, singing or acting? What do you like least about singing and acting?
Singing is a lot more fulfilling for me. When I am onstage, I am able to be myself and express my feelings. It is like being in my own world. What I like least about performing are all those photos taken of you while you are singing with facial expressions that look like I ate something sour, if you know what I mean!

Describe how an ideal/perfect date would go. How would a young lady get your attention?
A perfect date for me is when......it doesn't feel like I am on one! For a girl to get my attention, she would have to be able to connect with me both mentally and spiritually.

Jordan SegundoYou are very popular in Hawaii; have you received the same reaction outside of Hawaii?
I have been fortunate to travel and perform in different cities across the United States. In each city I have performed at, I try to share the aloha spirit and I have been received very well. I believe that music is a universal language that connects people from around the world. No matter where you are from, it is easy to appreciate good music.

Was singing a career goal of yours or did you have other aspirations?
Singing has always been my passion since I was a little kid. I could not imagine myself not involved with music. Besides singing, I am very interested in songwriting and producing as well. There are so many great ways to express yourself in the music industry and I am so grateful to be able to share and express my love for music.

What is your favorite restaurant? What would you normally order at this particular restaurant?
I enjoy eating at a variety of restaurants, but my all time favorite restaurant is Crustacean's in San Francisco. I love seafood, so when I ate the roasted garlic crab and garlic noodles, I instantly fell in love with that place.

Who do you think is going to be this year's "American Idol" winner?
At this point, I really think it is up in the air. The contestants will have to be consistent on their performances in order to win. Although, I really enjoy Carrie Underwood. I think she has the whole package, but you never know!

What type of music helps influence you?
Many different types of music influence me; it depends on the mood I am in. Techno and Hip Hop get me really energized and in the dancing mood. When I feel like relaxing, I like listening to love songs or a little R&B.

Who is your favorite singer/band today? Of all time?
My favorite band is Maroon 5. I think they have such a unique sound that is high energy, which takes you to another place. There are so many great artists that I respect and look up to, so I could not pick just one.

Do you have any words you want to be remembered by?
There is a quote that I live by: "Champions are not those who never fail; they are those who never give up."
